Amber

Amber is a fascinating material, created when coniferous tree resin drips on the ground or on the tree itself, trapping any foreign matter or insect that it happened to come into contact with! Over time this resin was covered by leaves and soil and buried for millions of years. Most amber is approximately 30 to 90 million yrs old. Amber can appear in a variety of colors ranging from golden yellow to white, red, brown, black, and rarely blue and green. Most amber in jewelry is Baltic Amber, washing ashore in the Baltic Sea. Amber can also be from the Dominican Republic, and almost every continent including North America where it was found in Kansas and NJ!

Amber is said to be good for increasing energy, preventing infection, digestion, glands, depression, bringing light, warmth and clarification.
