Creedite
Creedite is a rare hydrated calcium aluminum sulfate hydroxide fluoride mineral and is a product of the intense oxidation of ore. It was first discovered in 1916 in the Creed Quadrangle in Mineral City, Colorado. It forms white, colorless orange to purple crystals. Orange Creedites usually form spiny porcupine-like rounds with bristly crystals protruding in every direction. The very best specimens come from Mexico.
