Mosasaur
Mosasaurus was a carnivorous lizard that lived during the late Cretaceous Period (100-70 million years ago). Mosasaurus was a marine reptile and had a long, powerful tail and grew up to 40-59 ft. long. The large head had huge jaws with many teeth. The lower jaw was loosely hinged to the skull with a movable joint, which allowed it to swallow huge prey. Mosasaurus are related to modern day monitor lizards. These fossils were found in Khourigba, Morrocco.
