Frequently Asked Questions

How do I use this website?  It's simple really...  The list on the left side of our site are all of the products that we sell.  Some products can be found in several different categories.  For example: Ocean Jasper Coasters,  because of the type of material they are and because they can be gifts, they can be found in the Ocean Jasper, Minerals, Gifts, and Coasters sections.  We also have a section called Shapes.  If you are someone who loves to collect the same shapes, i.e. spheres, cubes, hearts, etc., this sections shows you all of the shapes we offer.

The list on the right side of our site is all informational.  Click on these sections to find info about our products, our staff, local artists, Madagascar, and what's going on at ETE this month!

What do I do if I am unable to order the product I want?  If you having trouble placing an order, no problem!  Send us an email or give us a call.  Our numbers and email addresses are listed in the Contact Us section.  You can place your order over the phone.  If we can't get to the phone, leave a brief message including your name, phone number, email address, and the product info you're calling about (ex. Ocean Jasper Sphere #MOJ002 for $128.00) and we'll get back to you ASAP.   Don't feel like calling?  Send Amy an email if it's more convenient.  Voicemail messages and emails are checked daily.

What if I see something I want in pictures of the store, but it isn't on the website for sale?   We sell alot of amazing products on our site, but we offer even more at our gallery!  If you see something in the pictures from the store and it's not available online, give Amy or Laura a call.  We can pick it up and ship it for you.  

What is the most popular thing ETE sells? Our jewelry!  We have such a great selection, no matter what your price range is.  We also sell alot of Banded Onyx goblets (see Staff Favorites for a picture of these).  They are both functional and beautiful and have a story to tell!

What do kids like the most from ETE? Kids love Enter the Earth!!   Magnets, carved animals, tumbled stones in pouches and fossils are favorites to name a few...

My order looked different on my computer screen than in person.  Colors vary from monitor to moniter, but just to be sure, we give a full description of the item on each product's page.  Make sure you read over the description before purchasing the item.  Also, if you want to email us or give us a call with specific questions about the piece, please feel free!  Remember, everything is handpicked for the Gallery and Online store!

What if the ring I want isn't the right size? We can have it sized for you, for an additional cost of only $25!  It can be done within a week, and then we will be happy to ship it to you, or have it picked up at the gallery. 

How long will it take me to get my order? Online orders are shipped out within 5 business days, however your order will most likely be shipped out within a day or two.

What if my order is damaged during shipping?  We are pros when it comes to packaging!  The problem is that sometimes shipping companies aren't too careful - our promise to you is that we will package your order extremely well.  You should purchase insurance when you choose your shipping method.  If there is a problem, call us and let us know, however it must be taken up with the shipping company.

What is the most popular mineral you sell in the gallery?  Ocean Jasper and Labradorite are both very big sellers.  Each piece of Ocean Jasper is so extremely unique and the mine in Madagascar has been exhausted.  ETE still has a significant amount of spectacular Ocean Jasper specimens, most of which are possibly the nicest you will ever see.   Our Labradorite is absolutely out of this world!  From deep blue flashes to green, yellow and orange it is truly a beautiful feldspar!  We even have some NEWLY discovered Labradorite from Madagascar.  The PURPLE flash is seriously intense!!

What is the Refund and Exchange Policy at Enter the Earth?   At Enter the Earth we do our absolute best to provide you with both a visual and written description of the item you are purchasing. However, sometimes the color on computer screens differs and the item you receive might appear different than the picture you see online. If so, or if for any other reason, you are not 100% satisfied with the item or items you purchased we will allow a return or exchange within 2 weeks of shipping date. In order for us to issue a refund or exchange, please contact us within 2 weeks of shipment date by email. Item/s to be returned MUST BE IN ORIGINAL CONDITION. The customer will be held responsible for the return shipping charges. Once the item is received in original condition, a refund will be issued. If you are interested in an exchange, email us and let us know. In this case, the customer will be held responsible for ALL shipping costs. If an item is damaged during shipment, this must taken up with shipping company. Insurance is added to all shipments and we are very careful packers, so this is an unlikely scenario! I want to make a purchase, but not through Google Checkout.  Is this possible?  YES!! Here lately, we've been getting alot of customers who would rather pay through Paypal or by Money Order.  Not a problem!  If you want to pay one of these ways, email Amy or Stephanie (Contact Us) with your order (please include the Name, Item Number, and Price) and how you want to pay.  If you are paying through Paypal, please remember to give us the correct email address linked to your Paypal account.  We will take your items that you want to order off the website, and will ship them once we have received your payment.  *Please realize that we are all very busy and are not by a computer all the time.  If you decide to pay through Paypal or Money Order and send us your order, there is a possibility that someone might buy the same item you want before we have received your email.  (It has happened!)  If this happens, we will notify you before we take payment, allowing you to pick out something else if you'd like.

How does International Shipping work?  All International orders will have to be placed by email or over the phone.  If size allows, we will ship orders in United States Postal Service Flat Rate Boxes, to insure the least expensive shipping rate.  Every country is different, so if you need a shipping quote before you purchase an item, please email Amy or Stephanie (Contact Us) and they will send you the price.  Please make sure to include the Name, Item Number, and Price of the pieces you are considering.
